Our First Ever Bat Rep!

I am happy to annouce that I have made my first ever video battle report for the Bitzbox Youtube Channel.

This is a 1000 pts kill point mission featuring Crimson Fists Space Marines vs Chaos Daemons. My opponent Callum is using my Chaos Daemon army, which he has not played before but I think he did pretty well considering. Early feedback has suggested a shorter format so in future videos I shall look into doing that. If I make enough videos I will probably be able to mix up the styles of bat reps so everyone will be able to find a video format they enjoy.

Been away for a while and testing out various board designs and army lists, but recently my friend and I decided to have a 2000pt battle, a true test of my army.

Robs Skaven & Chaos army

Chieftain half squeak.

Warp-lock lv 2 wizard (skitter-leap & warp lightening).

Stormvermin (Banner of the under empire).

Slaves x19.

Clanrats x18.

Clanrats x24.

Ratling gun.

Rat ogres x3.

Jezzails x5.


Vardak the grim & Exalted hero.

Sorceress malagon (Pandemonium).

Hounds x10.

Mauraders x20.

Warriors of chaos x12.

Chaos knight x5.

Chaos spawn.

Oz's Beastmen army.

Khazrak the one eye.

Great bray shaman.

Malagor the dark omen.

Gorehoof and Centigor.

Gors x15 (2 units).

Bestigors x10 (Man-bane standard & Captain had many limbed fiend special rule).

This was the first time using my shamans...I was putting my faith in magic saving the day lol.

We decided that a "Last man standing" battle would take too long, so we decided to make it a 6 turn game.








I won the roll to set up first, not sure if it was strategic or I just wanted Khazrak to look the most I stuck him on the bridge.

Skaven turn 1

Rob got off to a good start, his Ratling gun killed 8 of my Gors straight away and his Jezzels killed 1 Minotaur and wounded another.

He attempted to cast but luckily I dispelled.









Beastmen turn 1

My Jabberslythe only managed to kill 1 Slave and my Ungors fail in there attempt to destroy the Ratling gun.

Malagor attempted to cast The caress of laniph on the doomwheel...but failed.pic4








S&C turn 2

The Ratling gun unleashes a massive 9 shots at the Jabberslyth killing it, along with 5 of his own slaves, but he didn't complain strangely lol.

Jezzails knock a wound off a Minotaur.

Exhalted hero takes a single wound off the Ghorgon and the Doomwheel smashes into the Chariot.









B turn2

Chariot kills 1 Stormvermin and my Ungors finally destroy the Ratling gun ("that's for killing my Jabberslythe" I may have said haha).

My second Chariot fails to damage the Doomwheel.

Bestigors kills 3 Warhounds.

My Ghorgon picks up and swallows the Chaos champion whole...gaining lost wounds, hurrah.

Malagor wipes out Jezzels & 6 Stormvermin using the caress of laniph and the purple sun of xerus.









S&C turn 3

Warlock uses skitter-leap to get into combat with my Great Bray Shaman.

Half Squeak kills 3 Gors and Slaves were unsuccessful in combat failing to land a single blow.

Chaos knights kill Malagor...NNNOOOOOOOO!









B turn 3

Chariot kills 3 Stormvermin.

My Gors were unsuccessful and ran away...cowards.

Ungors kill 1 Clanrat and Centigors kill 3 Slaves causing the rest to run off the board.

Chariot was destroyed by Doomwheel once battle was resolved.

Bestigors kill 4 Stormvermin causing the rest to flee.

Gors only manage to kill 1 Chaos warrior and my Ghorgon kills another 2.

Minotaurs were killed in combat.

S&C turn 4

Robs Warlock was killed in combat by my Shaman.

Chaos warriors break, as do the Warhounds.

Rat ogres and Chaos spawn beat Bestigors in combat, causing them to flee.

Doomwheel lost control and smashed into a to say it was destroyed.pic8








B turn 4

My Shaman casts the curse of anraheir on the Chaos knights, meaning they have a -1 to hit penalty.

Chariot kills 1 Stormvermin.

Ungors fail in combat, and as they are running, they are chased down and killed (never really last long Ive noticed, anyone else find that?)

Centigors fail in combat and are killed by the Chaos Marauders.

Bestigors continue to run.

Gors were unsucessful in combat, but passed their leadership test and stayed put.

Ghorgon wipes out the remaining Chaos Warriors.

S&C turn 5

Chaos Spawn wipes out remaining Gors and Rat Ogres charge my Ghorgon, bringing it down to 1 wound.

Knights charge Khazrak and attempt to take his life...but he survived all 25 attacks, and in return he killed two knights.

Warhounds run off the board.

B turn 6

Chariot wipes out the remaning Stormvermin.

Ghorgon picks up and swallows Rat Ogre whole, gaining all lost wounds again.

Khazrak kills last 3 Chaos Knights with a little help from a savage beast of horros spell.

Bestigors continue to run.

S&C turn 6

Chariot is finally destroyed by the Clanrats.

Chaos Spawn takes a wound off my Shaman.

B turn 6

Bestigors run off the board.

Shaman is killed in combat by Chaos Spawn.

Khazrak takes a wound off Chaos Spawn.

Ghorgon kills Rat Ogre and 2 Packmasters.


A truly enjoyable game for both of us. I calculated the final victory points and I was surprised at how close it was.

Rob = 1733 pts

Oz = 1616 pts

A narrow win for Robs Skaven and Chaos army.

As ever we shook hands and decided on our character of the battle award.


I went for the legend that is Khazrak the one eye. Wherever he goes, death is his ally.





Rob decided that his ratling gun was worthy of the best of the game award.

Battle Report: Beastmen VS Skaven

It was a cold and misty morning when I heard the words "dude, I have the day off...wanna battle? Been dying to test out my Skaven" Never one to turn down a battle, I accepted.

Let the bloodshed commence!

Skaven turn 1

First to take any action were the Jezzels, whice were rather wasted. They only killed two Gors. Then to add insult to injury...quite literally, Robbie's Warlock engineer wounds himself casting Warp lightening...there's treachery afoot!

Beastmen turn 1

My chariot wastes no time, smashing right into the line of Jezzels, killing one and taking out another three in close combat. As ever, the Skaven LD was not strong enough...they turned their tails and ran, straight off the board.

War-hounds and Ghorgon charge the Plaguemonks, killing just three. Once battle was resolved, one of my War-hounds was slain.

My Ungor skirmishers take a cheeky pot shot and a unit of Night Runners, although they only managed to kill one.

My Jabberslythe destroyed Robbie's weapons team (I may have pat myself on the back lol)

With a squadron led by Robbie's Halfsqueek character, they were in a draw with my unit of Gors.

Skaven turn 2

Curses...both magic attempts fail to do any damage, miscasts.

Plaguemonks and War-hounds locked in combat with neither side making any dents in the lines, and the Assassin fails his job, only managing to lock the unit of Bestigors in combat.

Nightrunners engage Ungors, killing four. When combat was resolved, my Ungors killed none.

Halfsqueek unit grinds to a halt, locked in combat with my unit of Gors.

Beastmen turn 2

Minotaurs charge Stormvermin and my chariot smashes into Chang, killing him instantly. My Jabberslythe flies straight next to the Skaven cannon and attacks it, but to no effect.

War-hounds loose combat and run, same goes for my Ungors.

Ghorgon manages to kill four Plaguemonks.

Skaven turn 3

A very uneventful turn, only the Half Squeek squad managed to break the deadlock and kill two Gors causing the rest to run.

Beastmen turn 3

Ungor units rally and get back into the battle but the war-hounds continue to run!

Ghorgon kills another four Plaugemonks, and after a failed LD test, he chases down the rest...muwahahahaha.

My charriot smashes into the Stormvermin, killing one. Then after charging but causing no effect, one of my Minotaurs was slain once battle was resolved.

After a nasty trade of blows, my Bestigors kills Robbie's Assassin.

My Ungors flank the the unit of Nightrunners, killing two.

My Spawn kills four Clanrats, but due to the closeness of Halfsqueek, they stand their ground.

Skaven turn 4

Curses...the elite Stormvermin are broken in combat with the Minotaurs and run...must have been a weak litter?! But in retaliation, a Skaven mortar kills one of my Minotaurs.

The Warp cannon attempts to destroy my Jabberslythe, but once battle was resolved, the cannon was left in broken, rusty and hairy pieces on the battlefield.

Beastmen turn 4

My Ghorgon, Chariot and War-hounds all charge the Stormvermin...ouch! First to act were the War-hounds...which did nothing, and when battle was resloved one War-hound was slain.

However their rejoice was short lived, as my Ghorgon kills two Stormvermin.

My beastmen were beaten in combat loosing just one.

The chariot flattened the weapons team accompanying  the Stormvermin.

My Ungors force the Nightrunners to flee.

The Jabberslythe kills two Clanrats but once again due to Halfsqueek, the rest still stand firm.

Skaven turn 5

Halfsqueek has visions of glory, so his unit charges my Jabberslythe...and turn it into a massive cactus!

Apart from a few uneventful close combats, nothing else happened.

Beastmen turn 5

Chariot slams into Halfsqueeks unit, killing two.

Ghorgon kills another two Stormvermin.

My Minotaurs kills three Nightrunners, but when battle was resolved I lost another Minotaur.

Skaven turn 6

Nightrunners kill the last Minotaur, and the Stormvermin reduce the Ghorgon to three wound, but in return he kills one causing the rest to flee.

Halfsqueek reduces the Chariot to one wound, but the rest of the unit fail to finish it off.

Beastmen turn 6

Gors hit Nightrunners, but miss! War-hounds must have been hungry, they grab one Nightrunner and tear it apart.

Ghorgon kills two more Stormvermin, and when battle is resolved he goes down to his final wound.

Gor unit loose in combat and are promptly chased down.

Once blows have been traded between my chariot and Halfsqueeks chariot was destroyed...NNOOOOOOOOOOO!

Skaven turn 7

Nightrunners loose in combat and flee, the Gors opt to chase after them.

Stalemate between Stormvermin and Ghorgon, as neither land a blow.

Beastmen turn 7

Nightrunners are  wiped out by my Ungors and my Ghorgon destroys the remaining Stormvermin.

Skaven turn 8

Curses, Clanrats are lacking as they fail there charge.

Beastmen turn 8

Warhound and Ungors charge Clanrats, but nothing comes of it!

My Ghorgon has Halfsqueek in his sights...and charges, but when battle was resolved, it was my Ghorgon that fell to the ground.

My last War-hound was also killed in close combat with the Clanrats.

Skaven turn 9

Clanrats and Ungors trade blows, no huge losses.

Beastmen turn 9

Ungors loose three in close combat and are chased down and destroyed.

My last remaining Gor champion manages to kill five Clanrats before falling in battle.

Skaven - 1436

A close battle indeed.
