Kustom Ork Buggies

Ork Rokkit Car

At the time of writing this it’s been almost two years aince Games Workshop released the Speed Freeks game and some really awesome looking racers and buggies for the Orks. I just had to get my hands on some to convert or should I say “konvert”.

Kustom Ork Racer

The first one was this Ork racer. I picked up an Ork trukk to mix with the two vehicles from the Speed Freeks box. Whilst I can’t remember the exact details of these conversions (“konvershuns”) The majority of the pieces are from these sets. The red and yellow plastic gives away which pieces come from the speed freeks set. Most of the grey parts are from the Ork Trukk. The front piece is from the Galvanic Servohaulers set.

The end of this post will have painted photos of all 3 miniatures.

Kustom Ork Buggy

I had less of a plan for this second vehicle. I just decided to wing it and see how it would go. The final result was very Wacky Races and this theme would follow into the next vehicle too. Again I used parts from the Speed Freeks, Ork Trukk and Galvanic Servohaulers set to make it.

The Rokkit Kar

I don’t need any more money. I’m not greedy. As long as I’ve got my health and my millions of dollars and my gold house and my rocket car, I don’t need anything else.

The “rokkit kar” was a concept I was eager to try as soon as I saw the Megatrukk Scrapjet. The conversion was quite straightforward. I turned the scrapjet backwards and added a missile from the Astra Militarum Deathstrike on the front as well as a spare wheel. I don’t recall it being too difficult to turn the cockpit around. The wings were glued on the opposite sides too.

So now you’ve seen all three vehicles unpainted let’s have a look at them all full painted!

After writing this I have really gotten the itch to make another vehicle for these. Maybe one day soon I’ll get round to building more. Make sure to check out our Instagram especially to keep up to date with everything we build and paint.
