Scrap Challenge: A Duel

Over the weekend I sponsored and took part in (just for fun) a scrap challenge event at my friendly local game store, Boundless Realms. This was hopefully the first of many Bitzbox sponsored events at the store and it was very enjoyable. The theme for this Scrap Challenge was to create a Duel. If you're not familiar with how a scrap challenge work you basically have a load of random bits in the middle of the table and you have to use bits to make a conversation based on a specific theme. I took several photos on the day, including all the participants entries which were all amazing.

Two of the store owners and myself judged the competition but we couldn't help having a go ourselves. Below are our entries.

A duel doesn't always have to be a fight, how about some checkers?

And now onto everyone else's entries:

All of which are excellent duels as I'm sure you would agree. After much deliberation we narrowed it down to a final three. In third place was this 'duel' which consists of three space marines playing Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Now we move onto the final two. I don't know how long we were mulling over who should win out of these. It felt like days but in reality it was probably 15 minutes. It was close and the store owners were kind enough to give a second place prize as it was so close. So in second place we have this one. I love the poses of the guys on the base.

There of course could only be one winner and I think this one deserved it. I really like how the assault marine is jumping down towards the Ork. The Ork himself is also really awesome and looks boss with a Chaos Lord lightning claw.
